Executive Director
Sam Breyer joined OAESD as the Executive Director in July of 2025. He has served in leadership and education for more than 3 decades, including as an elementary teacher, principal, district office administrator and superintendent for three districts. Most recently, he provided coaching and mentoring support to new education leaders
A native Oregonian, Sam graduated from Willamette University with a degree in economics before returning to receive his Master of Arts in Teaching.
Sam believes that a strong public education system is the path to a more just world. He knows that Oregon education service districts have the power to make a tremendous difference for Oregon students and our communities and is proud to support them in this role.
In his free time, you’ll find him biking the farm and mountain roads of Oregon, reading a good book, or traveling with his wife, Kammy.
